How is fairness and investor protection ensured?
Financial markets are driven entirely by the fair mechanism of investment demand and supply, behind which are the decisions of individual investors. But it is also strictly regulated to ensure that the interests of all its participants are protected.
In Bulgaria, the financial market is regulated by a number of laws related to the offering of securities, financial instruments, etc., and the supervision of their compliance is carried out by the specialized state body - Financial Supervision Commission.
The Investor Compensation Fund was established in 2005 to provide compensation to investors in cases where an investment intermediary is unable to meet its obligations to clients for reasons directly related to its financial condition. All licensed investment intermediaries pay contributions to this fund in order for it to fulfill its role.
